Wolves Nation was proud to root on their two representatives in this year's Brewster All Star game held in Omaha.
Death, taxes, and Manobu! The Wolves franchise player garnered his 5th consecutive All-Star game nomination. Once again, he was top 5 in several league leading statistics at the league's All-Star break. He received 27 of the 30 votes cast, tops for any OF in the Frick. In the game Manobu played LF going 0-0 walking 2x, before being PH by Wilson Alomar of Portland in the 5th.
Joining him this year in Omaha, will be Wolves RP Todd Stone, notching his 2nd All Star game award, in only his 2nd season in the bigs. The Wolves stellar reliever has helped in the turnaround with the Wolves' bullpen these last two season, bringing it back to respectably. He also received 27 or the 30 votes, cast, tied with Keijo Reini of Sacramento. In the game Stone appeared for 1/3 of an inning in the 7th, notching a strike out of his only batter faced on 5 pitches to end the inning, and picking up a hold in the process.
