GAME 1 (WIN 8-4) The Wolves' take the last game in the 3 game series 8-4 behind a strong performance by 3B Salvador Allende. Allende went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Madison in the contest. Madison pitcher Juan López got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Starter FA Luis Torres staved off re-assignment by throwing 4 innings and allowing 2 runs. With the win the Wolves took the series from the Sluggers 2 games to 1.
GAME 2 (LOSS 2-0) In the 2nd game of the series, Nashville came back to win 2-0 in a low scoring battle. Starter Jon Merritt went 5 strong innings allowing 2 runs, 5 hits and striking out 5, while the bullpen pitched 4 scoreless innings. The Wolves however could only muster 4 hits against Nashville's' staff and never could really get that hit when it matter, leaving men in scoring position with two outs 4x during the game.
GAME 1 (LOSS 6-2) After an off day for travel to Yellow Springs, the Wolves put another stinker, dropping game one of the series 6-2. Pedro Ortiz allowed 4 runs in 3.1 innings. The bullpen faired a bit better, only 2 runs in 5.2 innings of relief. Once again the Madison offense failed to produce in key situations, failing 3x to drive in runners in scoring position with 2 outs. Allende lead the way with 2 hits for the team.
GAME 2 (LOSS 6-0) In what can only be described as a pile of hot garbage on a 95 degree day outside of the Wolves locker room, the team dropped another one to Yellow Spring, this time getting shutout. Rocky Allen lead the way with 2 hits for the team. Luis Torres, is one step closer to re-assignment allowing 4 runs in 4 innings.
