Looking to bolster here starting rotation, the Wolves decided to call re-call SP
Leonard Thornton from AAA South Bend. In six games he started, he was 4-1 with a 2.38 ERA & a 3.07 FIP over 34 innings. In the corresponding move, the Wolves optioned 30y starter
Pedro Ortiz, and his 6.55 ERA & 7.01 FIP back to AAA to try and figure things out.
"Thornton was one of our stand-out performers this spring training, and it was just a matter of time before he joined the club." HC Will Myers said. Thornton looks to make his BBA debut in SIM #4.
The 25yo drafted in the 3rd round of the 2043 draft was so excited, he called his parents right away who booked the soonest flight they could from LA to be in the crowd for their sons BBA debut which looks to be the home series vs Hawaii the first weekend in May.
