With Spring training now behind us and (knock on wood) no major injuries to report, the Wolves front office brass went back and reviewed the game films, and stats to provide the best chance for the Wolves to compete in the Brewster in 2046. With that we present the your 2046 Madison Wolves.

Death & Taxes and these guys:
  • Manobu Shimizu - Nuff Said.
  • Salvador Allende - See Manobu.
  • Yorikane Miyamoto - A staff staple.
  • Andrew Torres - Its his job to loose.
  • Chris Mann - See Torres.
  • Rocky Allen - Lets hope year 2 in as good as year 1 for this FA pickup.
  • Mauro Soto - Played outstanding defense at SS leading the league in ZR.
  • Jose Hernandez - Holding down the DH position again this season.
  • Jonathan Merritt - Quietly continues to hold a spot in the starting rotation.
  • Keith Howard - See Merritt - however it could be a make-or-break year for this kid.
  • Raphael Castagna - Back for his role in the bullpen again this year.
  • Alejandro Fajardo - A versatile ballplayer who is more than capable to take over 2B for the departed David Guerra.
  • Charles Passingham - Back to fill in his usual role as the teams utility OF. Can play all 3 spots, and play them well when asked.
  • Juan Lopez - Rule 5 kid that has been nothing but rock solid out of the pen for the Wolves.
  • Pedro Ortiz - See Castagna.
  • Felipe Mercado - Wolves hoping he can live up to his FA signing a couple years back. Lost his job to rookie last year hoping not to make it two years in a row.
New faces
  • Eitor Vasconcellos - This seasons Fajardo. Another solid defender.
  • Dan WoodSide - FA signing who the Wolves hope to help bolster their bullpen.
  • Juan Garcia - FA signing who looks to help Madison forget the loss of Liliuki.
  • Belhcior Barracas - Wolves hoping his time in the minors the last couple of seasons, he can come back to his rookie form.
  • Tommy Hunter - looks too damn happy (and dirty) for this team picture.
  • Takanori Goto - Signed to a MiLB contract in the off-season. Wolves feel he can give them more than Orosco did last season out of the pen.
  • Virginia Rain - This kid has been eyeing his time. His outstanding production in spring training made it easier to part ways with Barral.
  • Roger O'Conner - A verstial OF for Madison, and great to have on the bench if you needs some speed on the bases late in a game.
  • Mariano Lopez - This 25yo hopes to platoon with Mercado if he fails again. Known more for his defense than his bat skills.
  • David Jiminez - The 23yo home grown product making his BBA debut this season.
  • Javier Garcia - FA signed away from division rival Nashville to help improve the bullpen.
Gone
  • Nathaniel Barral - Bloated salary and not producing at the plate for 2+ years, yeah that gets you demoted.
  • Eri Lilicku - Wanted to resign - he wanted to be back, but couldn't find a # we agree upon. Great guy, we wish him well in Vegas.
  • Manual Orosco - Left for FA, not resigned. Never really lived up to expectations.
  • David Guerra - Left for FA, signed with El Paso. Team has cheaper, younger, better players.
