Well two weeks down into this 70th season of the BBA
Week 1 SIM Result = 2-3
- Hawaii - (1-1)
- Des Moines - (1-2)
The Wolves now play the next 12 games on the road.
Enter Des Moines, who took 2 of 3 from the Wolves. In game one, Madison won 10-6 thanks to Manobu Shimizu POG effort going2 for 4 with a HR and 4 RBI. Madison starting P Kim continued the bad habits from last years staff of giving up runs early in the game. He allowed 5 runs in 3.1 inningsbefore he was pulled by HC Yves. Enter FA signing Mario Villarreal who settled down and gave up one run in the next 5IP to allow the Wolves bats to get the team back into the game.
Thanks again to Shimizu's bat the Wolves pulled this one out.
Games 2 and 3 of this series were not so kind to the Wolves, dropping both giving up 21 runs, (11-3 and 10-7) in back to back games.
Week 2 SIM Result = 4-3
- Twin Cities - (1-3)
- Long Beach - (2-0)
- San Fernando - (1-0)
The team settled down as the back end of the rotation got their legs under them. First Kim7IP 3R, winning game 1 (12-5). Then HC Yves started Miyamoto on short rest. It paid benefits for him, as Miyamoto produced 7IP with 6K and 0BB allowing only 2 runs in a 3-2 win over Long Beach. The week ended with game 1 in a 4 game series against San Fernando with the Wolves pulling out a 3-1 win. #4 Starter A Rodriguez bounced back from allowing double digits runs in his first outing to allowing only 1 run in 8IP in the win.
This week was good enough for Manobu Shh to win FL POY honors putting up some decent numbers 12/23 .522 AVG & 10 RBIs.
Looks like another Bobble Head night coming soon to the ballpark again...
