It is an annual tradition in Madison (minus the few seasons we either forgot or had no one really worthy of being nominated) to induct a member in the Wolves Hall of Fame. The Madison Wolves Hall of Fame is the most extensive collection of a franchise's history in the league. With 23 members and growing, no franchise in the league has collected its history more than Madison. Many were worried that with General Manager Chris Wilson, the man who created and started the team Hall of Fame, leaving after this season to take over a franchise team in Portland that the Hall of Fame would lose its luster. In a press conference today, Wilson commented on the situation and tried to ease the minds. His comments did little to ease the minds of those worried about the future of the team Hall.
"I don't know what will happen after I leave" Wilson said in the conference "to the team Hall of Fame. It's a great collection of names and talent. A lot of history there. Hopefully my successor can keep it open. But one thing they'll always do is know the impact I had on not only this Hall of Fame, but on this entire organization."
Following that statement, team owner Mick Shrimpton, Jr made the announcement that the 2039 inductee to the Wolves hall of fame would be none other than Wilson himself.
"Yeah, I'm a little reluctant to make this announcement, but the guy deserves it. He built this thing and has been around longer than most. It seems pretty self boasting on his part to name himself and to have me make the announcement, but if there is anything we've learned about Wilson these last few years is he's full of himself. So if he wants in the Hall, we'll put him in there. I guess we can scrub the stain he's left on this organization off in time, but his legacy will live on forever. Perhaps we'll hang his plaque in the restroom."
Wilson will be departing the Wolves organization after 41 seasons with the franchise. He led the team to two Landis Titles, 15 Division titles with 11 of those coming in a row, 4 League Pennants (All Johnson League), and a trio of wild card seasons.

Will always remember that the first big trade I made after joining the league was with Chris and Madison.
