That's What Cheesehead: 38.41 - "Who Wants To Pitch" Night in Madison

Post by 7teen » Wed May 15, 2019 10:05 am

With yet more injuries to the pitching staff, the Wolves front office has decided to host "Who wants to pitch tonight" night against the Vancouver Mounties this Saturday night. With five pitchers on the disabled list now for the Wolves, and several with injuries that are so mysterious in healing that the time frame is unknown for recovery, the Wolves have decided to just give the fans a shot.

Jose Cavazos, suffering from elbow inflamation, is expected to miss the rest of the season now as he prepares to head to free agency. His recent injury only adds to the frustration that has undergone the Wolves pitching this season. Aside from being atrociously bad anyway, injuries have taken a toll on a thin staff as is. Axel DeGiusti, like Cavazos, is expected to miss the rest of the season with a torn biceps muscle suffered earlier in the season.

Juan Trujillo and Pedro Salduar, both of whom were expected to be back already, saw their return postponed further as their injuries haven't allowed them to resume throwing. Trujillo with a sprained back and Salduar with a pesky finger blister won't be available to start for Madison in the next week of games. Only James Robinson, suffering from a similar finger blister boo-boo, is expected to return at either a known time or at least this season. He's expected to come back next week. All of this hasn't made the front office too happy.

"These guys are babies" said GM Chris Wilson. "I've never seen guys miss this much time over a damned finger blister. What a bunch of pansies. I wouldn't go out their either I guess if I were as bad as them. Which is why we're giving the fans a chance to show their stuff. We figure that since we play Vancouver this week it's a chance for an easy win so perhaps we'd just give the fans a chance to go out and do it. Give that easy Dub to one of them instead of these cry-babies with their in grown nails or what night."

Deep? It'll be a dumpster dive at this point.
