The Eddie Jarman Hitting Award

Charles Puckett
Puckett won the JL Sawyer Silk Award, so there wasn't much doubt that he'd win the club's award for the top hitter on the team. I spent enough time commenting on Puckett's stats in various TNs and League Features. I won't bore you with the details yet again. It is worth nothing however that Puckett won the team award, but yet did not lead the team in batting average, homeruns, nor RBI.
The Kirk Dirt Pitching Award

Jessie Wright
I have to admit, I am disappointned that all of my politcking didn't get Wright enough votes to win the JL Nebraska Award. But I'll accept it and move on. Wright still brought home the honors for the team's top pitcher, though he did have to edge out Tyree Wills. He and Wills both ended teh season with 20 wins and and Wills actually had a better ERA. But overall, the deciding factor in who won the award came down to the fact that not only did Wright lead the team with 276 strikeouts and a 1.00 WHIP, but those numbers also led the entire Johnson League. Thus the pitcher that was 2nd in wins, 1st in WHIP, 1st in strikeouts, and 3rd in ERA, didn't win the league wide award. Whoops, I mentioned it again. Sorry.
The Davey Cantoni Reliever Award

Justin Marco
We had some solid performances turned in by our bullpen this season. But the top honor has to go to our closer, Marco. Marco saved a franchise high 48 games this season, 2 shy of the previous MBBA mark. That mark was broke this season by Ted Dever's 53. Marco's 3.86 ERA wasn't outstanding, but he was still solid, going 5-6 with the beforementioned 48 saves and a 1.33 WHIP. He struck out 66 in 74.2 innings pitched. With 163 career saves, Marco surpassed Cantoni's franchise saves record which was 149. Congrulations to MMarco.
The Bopper Kengos Rookie Award

Ronnie Rambert
We didn't have too many rookies this year. In fact, if I'm looking correctly, Rambert won this award by default, but that isn't a knock on his performance. Rambert hit .304/.355/.431 for the Wolves in 102 at-bats. Those at-bats were all given during times in which Wolves regulars were on the DL. Rambert stepped in and filled the valuable innings and plate appearances throughout the season, playing mainly at 1b.
The Remy Geathreaux Managerial Award

Ty Coon
This award is given to the player that silently made a huge contribution to the club. The managerial award is an award handed out to a player who may not get the recognition from the fans or the media, but makes an impact that only a manager or coach would notice. This year's recipient is Ty Coon. Coon played in 80 games and recorded 112 at-bats Most of his at-bats came during the time in which Bolt Vanderhugen was on the disabled list. Coon hit .330/.380/.464 with 3 homeruns and 14 RBI in those 112 ABs. He played flawless defense in all 3 outfield positions, never once committing an error. As the club's fifth outfielder, you can't get much better production than that.
