📣 Gertie’s Wolves Weekly Report

GERTIE (owner, grand poobah, serial optimist):
“Well, slap me silly and call me impressed — the Wolves went 4–2 this SIM! Finally, some sunshine in Madison. We did take a hit, though: our darling rookie fireplug Carlos Cruz — or as the BBA crowd loves to call him, ‘The Baby Bandsaw’ — tweaked his shoulder. Funny thing, the only ‘Bandsaw’ I ever heard of was the one I used to fix barn doors back in the day when I had a shoulder just like his. I iced it with a pack of frozen peas, strapped it up tight, and plugged through! But we’re smarter now: off he goes to IR for a week or so, and no cowboy medicine here — we’re not risking a major league asset.”

📱 GERTIE’S FARM REPORT 📱
“Alright babies, I just finished my oat milk latte, I’ve got my readers on, and yes—I’m tweeting this straight from the iPhone like the cool kids do.”

It’s time to spotlight five lil’ sweethearts climbing up the ranks and flashing that *Wolves DNA™* down in the minors:

🐺 1. Jose Carlos Deleon – SS – AAA
.318 AVG | .832 OPS | 2.2 WAR
Sweet buttery baserunning, this kid is a machine! Deleón is racking up hits like I rack up ceramic owls at estate sales. Gap power, consistent contact, and just enough sass in the field. Don’t sleep on him.

🐺 2. Geoff Grant – CF – AAA
.309 AVG | .861 OPS | 1.6 WAR | 12 SB
Grant runs like someone’s giving away free brisket at second base. He’s got sneaky power and plays with that “my mom packed me an extra juice box” energy every game. Future leadoff guy? I’d swipe right.

🐺 3. Pete Moore – 2B – AA
.269 AVG | .753 OPS | 1.4 WAR
They call him "The Busboy" down in Double-A, 'cause he clears the bases and cleans up the mess. He’s got pop, instincts, and makes a mean baked ziti (allegedly). I like his blend of polish and punch.

🐺 4. Rafael Adams – SS – A Ball
.357 AVG | 1.127 OPS | 4 HR in 12 G
Is it early? Yes. Is it obscenely exciting? Also yes. Adams is absolutely demolishing A-ball pitching and posting numbers that should be illegal in 17 states. His bat is loud. Like-my-TV-at-volume-48 loud.

🐺 5. Gabriel Silva – C – A Ball
.382 AVG | .999 OPS | 0.9 WAR in 24 G
Silva is turning every pitcher into a sad little soup sandwich. The bat is legit, and he controls the zone like he’s played in three different decades. I'm telling you—if he were a casserole, he'd be the first to go at potluck.

🐾 IN SUMMARY...

“Look, if the big league boys need a little motivation, maybe send ‘em down to hang out with these five for a weekend. I don’t know what they’re putting in the postgame spread down there, but it’s working.”
