2055.07: CBS Recap Sim #9

Post by KJChmura » Sat Jun 24, 2023 12:14 pm

Nick Clark is back!

Reliever Nick Clark has finished his rehab and is officially back on the major league roster. Clark has been out the majority of 2 seasons with elbow surgery and some within the organization doubted he would ever return to form. Chicago will be patient with Clark, giving him low leverage situations to ease his way back into the majors.

Jarod Webber set to make his debut

Catcher Jarod Webber has been promoted in place of struggling WIll Bennett. Going into 2055, WIll Bennett was expected to compete for the starting role. After a rough start to the season, Chicago is hoping he can regain form in Triple-A, which Webber gains valuable experience in the majors.

Beloit Stars

For the diehards, be sure to pay attention to Double-A Beloit Blue Sox. The team is stacked with future Black Sox players.

Key players to watch:
Murugayan Malabanan - Top pitching prospect that is on the fast track to the majors.
Anagram Goenka - #1 prospect in organization. Has potential to be an everyday 1B in the majors.
Tsu-bahr Hru - Future 2B & leadoff hitter in Chicago. One of the fastest players in baseball.
Abidin Yigit - Developing into a super utility player. Has the makeup to be a team leader as he grows.
Justin Steel - One of our few outfield prospects. Potential future CF.
Ayyad Faisal - A combination of Yigit & Hru. Has great speed and outstanding defense.
Trent Moyer - Very young and raw player, but if he figures it out, he could be a starting corner outfielder in Chicago.
Vanya Elliott - Only 22 years old, but already in his 6th season in the minors. Expect him to reach Triple-A this year, with potentially a September callup and competing for a Major League role next year.

Webber may get slightly better results from the pitching staff.

It’s wild the staff has been much better since the pitching coach change. Over 1 run a game improvement.

Webber will play maybe 1-2 times a week, whereas Bennett was 2-3 times. Overall Elias is the starter.

Love these write-ups.

Glad to see Nick back. His Jan. 2054 setback costing him a second straight season was a gut punch.
