All good things come to an end.
Sox third baseman Tomás Durán learned that lesson anew on Sept. 9 against the San Fernando Bears, when his hitting streak of 24 games came to an ignominious end when he lined out in a pinch-hitting appearance with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th.

To make matters worse, the Sox went on to lose the game 7-6 in the 10th inning.
