Beloit, Wis. - Although the Beloit Blue Sox have the best record in the entire AA Warren Cox League, they’re still battling to stay atop their division against a tough St. Joseph squad.
The Sox are 6 games up in the DNL Mid-Central Division with 14 to go, and they’ve reduced their magic number to 9.
But … 9 of their remaining 14 games are against winning teams – including 3 at St. Joseph.
“So, no, we haven’t really accomplished anything yet,” said Manager Javier Montero. “I’d much rather be in our position than St. Joseph’s, but I won’t breathe easy until that magic number is down to zero. Our guys understand that, though – we’ll be battling to the end.”
