Cape Hatteras, N.C. - Tough week on the Outer Banks as the Carolina Flight sputtered to a 2-5 record and dropped back under .500 on the season.
Although you would think that would have put a serious crimp in whatever fading hopes Carolina had for the AAA post-season, you would be wrong. Despite its frustrations, the Flight lost no ground in the GL East Coast division race, staying 4.5 games behind first place Brooklyn.
“We certainly didn’t help ourselves last week, but we’ve still got a shot at this thing if we pick ourselves up and play some decent baseball,” said Manager Jeff Matthews. “We owe it to our fans – and to ourselves.”
