Cape Hatteras, N.C. -This was unexpected, to say the least.
The Carolina Flight went 5-1 in Week 17 of their AAA Rupert Horn Memorial League schedule to actually put themselves back in a position of relevance for the post-season race.
With six weeks left in the season, the Flight have climbed into third place in the GL East Coast Division, 4.5 games behind Brooklyn. Just two weeks ago, Carolina was mired in last place, 10.5 games out and going nowhere fast.
Whether they can keep this up is anyone’s guess, but kudos to the Flight for not just folding up like a cheap suit.
