San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic – Over .500, baby!
The San Pedro de Macoris Green Sox went 4-2 last week to lift their season record to a game over .500, a significant accomplishment for a young team, even if they’re not in realistic competition for a playoff berth.
“It’s important for young players to get a taste of what winning is like,” said Manager Ernesto Garcia. “You don’t want them to get used to losing and thinking it’s OK. It’s not. No matter what level of pro ball you’re playing, you’re getting paid to win – so get in the habit early!”
You’ve gotta give them this much credit: they’re trying!
