Beloit, Wis. - The Beloit Blue Sox stumbled to their worst week of baseball since mid-May, going 2-5 in Week 16 of their AA Warren Cox League Schedule.
Although Beloit lost only 1 game from its lead in the DNL Mid-Central Division, manager Javier Montero sounded the alarm.
“We cannot play like that and expect to win the division, much less repeat as Cox League champions,” he said. “We need to look ourselves in the mirror and ask if we’re playing to the best of our abilities. If the answer is no, then we need to make some adjustments.”
Sounds like it’s gut check time in South Central Wisconsin!
