Monclova, Mexico - So, here’s something to ponder: The Monclova Aqua Sox have won 15 games in a row. They had a second consecutive undefeated week. They’ve won 20 of their last 21 games.
And the best they could manage was to pick up one measly game on the HL Mexican-American Division leader and crawl into a tie for first place.
That’s right. Both the Monclova Aqua Sox and the Ogden Thunder Ducks (Seattle) are 22-4 on the season, and neither can shake the other.
Not to mention poor Tijuana, which is 19-7 and has fallen 3 games off the pace.
So, yeah. This division is a skull crusher.
Oh, and before we go, we’d be remiss not to mention that Monclova beat the Elkins Buzzards 20-0 on June 19. The Aqua Sox had 14 hits, which is nothing to sneeze at. But Elkins also gave them a mighty assist in the form of 16 walks.
Thanks, guys!
