Grand Junction, Colo. – The Grand Junction Gold Sox got off to a respectable 4-2 start as they embarked on the defense of their second straight PL West Central Division title.

They split a four game road series against the Council Bluffs Express (Mexico City), but then came home to close out the week with two victories over the Topeka Thunderbears (Wichita).

The Sox are tied for second place in the division, 1 game behind the Danville Dodos (Charlotte).
