Hot Take: Nice series win. Not to complain, but why couldn’t the Sox do this against Omaha in the preceding series? They are a maddening group … Let’s give a little love to a couple of rookie relievers who’ve stepped up while last year’s All-Star reliever Frits Brinson and the ever-promising, never-delivering Justin Archer are toiling away in AAA Carolina. The rookies of whom we speak? Dieter Ruijghaver (2-0-0, 2.49 ERA, 21.2 IP in 11 appearances) and the phenomenal closer, Gilberto Sosa (1-0-15, 0.42 ERA, 23 Ks, 6 BBs, and 21.1 IP in 22 appearances). Hey, Archer and Brinson: this is how it’s done, boys!
