Cape Hatteras, NC – The Carolina Flight stayed on an uphill trajectory in Week 9 of their AAA schedule, eking out a 4-3 record for the stretch.

They took 2 of 3 from the Ashland Slowriders (Phoenix) on the road to start the week, then went home and took 2 of 3 from the Richmond Panthers (Charlotte). The Flight ended the week with a loss in the opener of a 3-game series at Havana.

Certainly, there were any number of highlights to the week, but Carolina’s 7-3 win against Ashland on May 26 stands out. It marked the arrival of outfield prospect Hao Hang as a force for his new AAA team.

Hang went 4-5 with a double and home run, 2 runs and 2 RBIs. He won Player of the Game honors, and helped boost SP Leonardo Aguila to his 4th win of the season.

The game was also notable for an effective relief appearance by Raúl Jaramillo, who seems to be coming back well from a 9-month stint on the injured list with a torn elbow ligament. For the game, Jaramillo threw 4.0 innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 run and 4 walks while striking out 3. He picked up his first save since returning to action in mid-April.

Jaramillo has appeared in 13 games, throwing 39.1 innings with a 3.20 ERA, 1-1-1 record, with 34 strikeouts and 22 walks.

I love these minor league updates Vic, I may have to steal this format off you if I ever get another BBA team lol. The table formula you sent me works great and I’ve figured out how to adapt it

Oh great! Steal away … I'd be interested in seeing how Cairo's minors are doing.

It took me quite a bit of trial and error to figure out how to get what I wanted with that chart format, but now it's easy. Very versatile format - Joe (Boise) originally sent it to me as a way to do standings. But, obviously, you can do a whole lot more than that with it!

Have fun!
