Here’s the info. you requested about what effect the new park is having on our pitching and hitting so far – although bear in mind this is really early and the sample size is small (we’ve played 24 home games so far, and 18 on the road). It will be a useful start we can build on and track across this season and future seasons, though.

First off, Black Sox Park surely is acting like a pitcher-friendly stadium so far. To look at the stats, our staff loves pitching here – and our lineup prefers the road.

Again, this is very early and the sample size is tiny, but that home vs. road ERA jumps off the screen at you: that's a difference of almost 1.5 runs allowed per nine innings. It will be interesting to see if that's more an artifact of limited data, or evidence of an extreme park effect. We'll keep an eye on things, give you periodic updates, and see how this develops.

The factors are even between LHB and RHB...I wonder what the stats say up to this point.
