Kilkenny, you see, is the second highest player on the Sox payroll and he's not earning one tenth of this $15M salary. $15.1M actually, but who's counting. And for all that cash, what we have so far in 1996 is a 1-6 record, with a 8.52 ERA and 2.13 WHIP. He's the reason the Sox are at the salary cap, he's the reason we couldn't sign any free agents, he's the reason we lost an SP and IF to get under the cap. He's killin' us.
