RHP Enrique Perez
Perez is the son of former Super Bowl-winning Arizona Cardinals kicker, Carlos Perez, though young Enrique is looking to pave his own path towards sports superstardom. While spending many days on the football field, Enrique became more familiar with throwing a football around while his dad practiced kicking the ball. He had a strong arm for his age and it translated well onto the baseball field. So well, in fact, he was drafted in the first round of the 2060 amateur draft by the Nashville Bluebirds.
Armed with a mid-90’s fastball, devastating curveball, and a decent changeup, Perez has found success in the minors. He keeps the ball in the park and limits walks pretty well. His 2.19 ERA in Single A in 2061 earned him a promotion to Double A in 2062, where he posted a 3.41 ERA. He will begin the season there, but his debut in Nashville is a bit cloudy. While Perez is certainly a good pitcher, it will be tough to crack the rotation, however, he may see time in the bullpen.
