If you ask his parents, Hawkins got his nickname 'Boo Boo' because of how well he hit the ball as a toddler and caused 'boo boos' to the plastic balls he was tossed. If you ask Fernando, it was because he was always saying his hometown, Omaha, was 'boo boo' and he couldn't wait to get out of that hellish land. Well, his wish was granted when he was draft by Nashville in the 1st round of the 2058 draft.

Hawkins spent his first three season in rookie ball before making the jump to Short A last season. He's hit well at each stop and will begin 2062 in Single A, though could see himself higher up the ranks by the end of the year. He holds his own defensively in the outfield, but his biggest strength is his bat to ball skills. He projects to be a .280-.300 hitter and is recent power surge projects out to about 20 HR a season. Should be a solid 2-3 WAR player, albeit at a overcrowded corner outfield position.

ETA: 2064

What ya see is what ya get with Hawkins. He's a good all-around baseball player, but doesn't really excel in any one area, though making contact is his best attribute. He's probably be a fine starter on most teams in the league, but don't see where he fits in with Nashville aside from being a 4th outfielder, unfortunately. He may play against LHP next season.
