The Nashville Bluebirds have retired #27 in honor of longtime 3B Tony Frost.

3B Tony Frost
Frost is a potential Hall of Fame candidate, but will have a tough battle being inducted in the loaded 2062 class. Regardless, he is a first ballot Hall of Famer in Nashville. The Lake Fenton, MI infielder was drafted ninth overall in the stacked 2039 draft and made his debut in Nashville in 2041 when the Bluebirds made their first playoff appearance since 2025. He would withstand the brutal Heartland dominance of the mid-2040’s, but was an integral part of the Bluebirds future dominance after Nashville sold most assets in 2046. Frost survived and laid the foundation for success in the latter half of the decade and into the 2050’s.
From 2043-2050, Frost averaged nearly 6.5 WAR per season, but the pinnacle of his personal success was in 2048 when he won the Silk Award after slashing .324/.397/.578 and leading the Bluebirds to the playoffs and winning Doubleday Series MVP after beating Sacramento. Unfortunately, they would lose to Yellow Springs in seven games in the Cartwright, but it was clear the tides were turning in the Heartland. Frost would continue his outstanding postseason performances in 2050, where he won three Series MVPs and hoisted the 2050 Monty Brewster Memorial trophy for the franchises first time since 2017.
After some moderate regression in the following years, Frost was traded to Vancouver after the 2054 season for some salary cat relief. He would see a bit of a resurgence with the Mounties and Nashville would load up to prepare for further dominance in his wake. He retired after the 2061 season with dreams of coaching for the Nashville system, however, the Mounties GM signed him as a coach with no announcement or news article in a clear disregard for rules and humanity. We will still love Tony forever.
