2061 Offseason Training Pt. 6

1. CF Alfonso Gonzáles: After finally seeing some improvement last month, Gonzales really took that in stride and finished his development lab better than expected. Far better. The reigning Silk winner elevated his eye from 6 to 8 and should be an even better player in 2061, where he will look to win his 3rd Silk in his 4th season. OUTSTANDING ^
2. RF Ra’id Usamah: No improvements were made in Usamah’s bat speed. Does he need another season in AAA? Or is this just the player he is? Whatever the answer, he isn’t a solution in Nashville this season. NO IMPROVEMENT
3. CF Zee-loo Tsao: Yep. Another failure. Instead of improving his eye, he seems to have lost the ability to make contact. He was too busy trying to detect balls and strikes, he often forgot to take the bat off his shoulders and joyfully exclaimed ‘That’s a strike!” POOR
4. SP Bin-ying ‘Bye Bye’ Yen: Throughout the development lab, Yen saw him control improve. It seems he has capped his potential control and is in a prime position to win a rotation spot in Nasvhille. SUCCESSFUL
5. CF Adolf Dragota: While it wasn’t the best development lab, I’d say Dragota developed a little more bat speed. Not much, but maybe enough to carry a couple of balls over the fence that would’ve otherwise been warning track shots. SUCCESSFUL
6. SS Luke Cage: Another case of small improvement, but improvement nonetheless. Cage should be able to draw a few more walks this season and hopefully wait to swing at better pitches. SUCCESSFUL
7. SP Brent ‘Black Jack’ Chappel: Blackjack became one of the most talked about prospects this offseason while people watched him pith in the development lab. His pitches seem to have a lot more movement and he should induce weak contact and fewer homeruns moving forward. OUTSTANDING
8. CF Carter ‘Fortnite’ Cramer: Development training stopped after fans caught Cramer streaming video games using a burner account. Very disappointing. NO IMPROVEMENT
9. SP Harry Spurlock: Not much change was noticed in his velocity training. Despite early success, it doesn’t seem to be sustainable velocity gains and he is more comfortable throwing in the mid-90’s. NO IMPROVEMENT
10. SP Javier ‘Pops’ Basanta: Like Spurlock, no noticeable improvements in the velo department. Expect to see more mid-90s fastballs this season. NO IMPROVEMENT
