bin Eisa was born in al-Ardiyah, Kuwait to the parents of hospital workers. He was introduced to the game of baseball in 2042 when the Kuwait City Alhafr entered the UMEBA and later fell in love with the game when his father spent two month’s salary to take little Essam to see the Alhafr win the championship in 2043. After celebrating with the team at the victory parade, bin Eisa went hard to work emulating his favorite player, switch hitting SS Rúbem Bordonhos.

Fast forward to 2052 and bin Eisa signs a contract with the Vancouver Mounties to join their international complex. In 2055 he cracked the top 100 prospects list for the first time and got on the radar of Bluebirds GM Chad Nason. His switch-hitting ability with a solid eye and slick infield glove was attractive and Nason traded starting SS Niaz Minhas on the eve of Opening Day to acquire bin Eisa. In his first full season of rookie ball in 2056, bin Eisa slashed .294/.362/.427 and he will likely begin 2057 in Short A for Nashville. He should get reps at 2B, SS, 3B, and all three OF positions, as Nason loves his future as a super utility guy who can hit from both sides.

Bin Eisa had a rough time reporting to Spring Training as a NRI. He was unprepared for the callup and his contact and eye seemed to have deteriorated a bit. He spent all of 2057 in Single A and had a .667 OPS while playing mostly second base, but some third and short, as well. It's disappointing to see him regress. I really like his well-rounded game and switch-hitting ability. Hope he recovers those lost points and continues to develop. I expect more of him this year in Single A as a 22-year-old.
