RHP Callum Martin
Martin was drafted by the Athens Fighting Centaurs in 2048 as a young pitcher from Brisbane. He wasn’t much of a prospect, but was able to increase his velocity enough to be considered by the Centaurs in the 5th round of the GBC draft. He worked his way up to become the #8 rated prospect in the GBC, but his contract was not renewed and he entered free agency after the 2052 season, where the Bluebirds nabbed him for a $4.2 million signing bonus.
The brawny right-hander had just developed a circle changeup to supplement his other changeup. They are both works in progress, to say the least. However, Martin has a great fastball that reaches 99 MPH with a lot of life and a good curveball as a put away pitch. He seems to be fully developed, but struggled in AA last season. If he cannot get his changeups to work well this offseason, his best bet would be to drop them completely and become a strong arm out of the bullpen, though the front office is still hopeful he can become a spot starter if needed.
