Yu Selected as Pitcher of the Month

High Point Hammers closer, Seung-hwan Yu, was awarded Drake League Pitcher of the Month in the Warren Cox League. Yu has been nearly unhittable this season, allowing just 5 hits in 15 IP. He has a record of 2-0 with 10 saves.

“I’m very honored to receive this award,” said Yu. “I thank our coaching staff for putting their trust in me to close out games, but this is a team effort. Our pitchers do a great job before I take over.”

While not seen as a blue chip prospect, Yu has incredible command and keeps the ball down in the zone. Ig he continues this success and continues to develop, he should have a spot in a BBA bullpen.

I considered this approach for the TN, but chose the easy way out.
