The on-field performance of the Nashville Bluebirds has been rather lackluster, but behind the scenes, they have created a deep farm system with hopes to increase the performance on the field. The BBA puts out an annual list of prospect rankings and the Bluebirds are currently rated to have the 6th best system. My rankings will vary slightly based on projected effectiveness in the BBA. Take a look at my rankings and prepare for a breakdown of each player in the coming weeks.
Banjo's Rank | Position | Player | BBA Rank | ETA |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 1B | Wafid Bishr | 3 | 2049 |
2 | RHP | Adrian Custello | 27 | 2047 |
3 | RHP | Nobuhito Kan | 65 | 2047 |
4 | SS | Sammy ‘Bumper’ McNeill | 44 | 2048 |
5 | LF | Hasheem Makin | 22 | 2049 |
6 | 2B | Candy Saswata | NR | 2049 |
7 | RHP | Jon Brown | NR | 2049 |
8 | LF | Kazuyoshi Ohayashi | NR | 2048 |
9 | RF | Matt Garrison | NR | 2048 |
10 | RHP | Alexander Higgins | NR | 2048 |
All of these players are expected to contribute at the BBA level at some point in the near future. Hopefully we see many of these faces with the Bluebirds, but surely some will fall victim to a trades to help improve the team. Either way, they are all valued commodities for the organization and will help lead the way to a Nashville playoff berth.
