Nashville’s struggles have continued so the front office made the decision to send former top prospect, Scott Bugbie, to AAA Orlando. Bugbie was called up in 2044 and served primarily in a bullpen role with moderate success, but pitched to mediocrity in 2045 before seemingly losing confidence in 2046.
“We love Scotty’s abilities, but we just think he’s got a few kinks to work out before being effective in the BBA,” said GM Chad Nason. “We believe Buck will be able to make Scott a more polished pitcher down in Orlando. We want him to realize his capabilities and we fully believe we will see him back in Nashville before too long.”
Buckland’s work may already be paying dividends as Bugbie’s first start back in AAA was a dominant 11 K performance against Annapolis. The open rotation spot also allows Dan Forsyth to slide back into the a spot where he is more comfortable and he provided the Bluebirds with a victory in his first start of the 2046 season.
“I’m disappointed in my performance,” said Bugbie. “I’m disappointed in being sent down. But above all else, I’m disappointed that my Disney annual pass expired. At least I’ll get a new sticker for my car when I renew.”
