After Robert Franklin was non-tendered, the Nashville Bluebirds were in dire need to find a replacement utility player. The team hopes new signing, Miguel Rodríguez, will help fill that void.
UTIL Miguel Rodríguez
“Miguel will be able to help our team in various ways,” said GM Chad Nason. “He’s expected to be able to fill in up the middle when Reynante Alvero and Jesús Yan need a break, and might even see permanent time against LHP.”
Rodríguez has spent the past three years in the Frick League, spending last year in Louisville Sluggers after signing a two year deal worth $32M with the Hawaii Tropics. He never lived up to the contract and has seen a slight decrease in productivity in the past couple seasons, but Nashville is hoping a change of scenery will revitalize his career.
