Duck Hunting Season Begins Early in Nashville

In desperate need of a power bat versus left-handed pitchers, the Nashville Bluebirds signed veteran Martín 'Duck' Marín to a one year $3.8M deal. The slugger started off strong slashing .300/.365/.900 over the first two months of the season, however, Duck quickly faded into the abyss and ended the season with an OPS of .678. In fact, he actually batted slightly better against right-handers, proving he wasn’t able to do his one job. The DH also saw five innings in LF, but luckily nobody hit the ball to him. With Gipper Kengos also looking for more playing time, Nashville will certainly be in the market for a right-handed outfielder in the offseason.
