The Nashville Bluebirds are two months into the season and hold the top wildcard position with a record of 34-23, including a Frick League best, 20-8 record at home. The roster is pretty well-rounded, but one player has stuck out as a true superstar this season - Tony Frost.

The third baseman is off to a blistering pace this season with a .349/.423/.684 slash line. Frost started off the season hitting nine homeruns in April. He then went into May and slugged another eight homers while batting .408 with an 1.155 OPS, but still somehow lost Player of the Month voting to Louisville Sluggers star, Théo Bourges.

“Frosty has been supernatural this year. There isn’t a hole in his game. He is excellent in the field and the box and he’s far exceeded our already lofty expectations we had set for him this season. He’s the type of player that makes every other player in the lineup better,” said GM, Chad Nason.

Frost carried his hot streak into June, hitting a homerun in his first game. As optimistic as Nason seems to be, it’s a wonder if Frost really is making others around him better. One would think RF José Machado would have a good year hitting behind with myriad RBI opportunities, yet the slugger only has 27 RBI to pair with his .224 batting average. Machado could be hitting his stride as he is 9-14 with 3 doubles and a homer in his past three games – still a distant gap from his 2043 season that saw him hit 23 homers in 340 AB. 1B Nacho Méndez should be the largest benefactor batting leadoff in front of Frost, however, he has failed to get on base with a measly .286 OBP. Perhaps a change will be in store to capitalize Frosts’ abilities.

When told he wasn’t awarded Player of the Month, Frost had this to say, “Da fuck?!?!”

Yes he is. Sole reason I’m in second place and no he doesn’t want to be reunited with you.
