Bishr’s family works on a goat farm in southern Lebanon where Wafid would help his father butcher goats to sell at the local market. In the very little free time he was allotted, Wafid would be seen in the fields throwing balls of yarn and smacking rocks out of the field with a wooden fence post. After local scouts noticed his potential they had to persuade Wafid’s father to let him try his hand in professional baseball. Although he is very raw, Bishr’s promise was very appealing to scouts, so Bishr’s agent was able to sway Wafid’s father with a $1 million guarantee up front.

After skipping the first round of IFA, Bishr was offered a $5 million signing bonus to leave an-Nabatiyat-at-Tahta, AN-, Lebanon and head to Nashville’s international complex. His initial fall was due to age concerns since the "16 year old" had a more robust goatee than any of the goats on the family farm. While he was signed as a second baseman, his defensive position in the BBA remains to be seen. Bishr is not equipped with great range at 2B, so a move to LF would be considered if it weren’t for his noodle of an arm. He will likely see time at 1B or DH because his bat needs to be in the lineup. Bashir projects to be a middle of the lineup hitter and possesses good patience at the plate to complement his tremendous ability to make contact and hit for power. While only 16, Bashir is still very raw, but with he right coaching, he can become a perennial all-star.

I'm getting a bad feeling about this guy. Nashville doesn't need hitters like him. I suggest a trade to the johnson league now.

Well, he's got a few years to learn a defensive position before you have to worry about him.

As we wrap up the 2046 season, Bishr has been promoted to Rookie ball and played 35 games for Lynchburg batting .280/.336/.536 inclduing 6 HR. The 18 year old has progressed nicely and scouts are happy, although his future position on the field is to be determined.

Bishr has seen a slight improvement in his contact and power during the offseason, but it remains to be seen in he is ready to see minor-A pitching or if he will remain in Lynchburg. His transition to 1B should be an easy one and his noodle of an arm will not be a concern. He is still very raw and won't likely sniff the BBA in the next two seasons.
