A Flock of Bluebirds 2043.10- Musings At The End of June
June 30, 2043

The Nashville Bluebirds have had a relatively successful first half of the season. Despite a early to mid June swoon, they are 44-36 and in a virtual tie for the final Frick League Wild Card position with their Heartland rival Chicago.

As the BBA approaches All-Star Voting after this evenings action, the Bluebirds have several deserving candidates for selection to the annual festivities. Here are the top four candidates:

Image
Lorenzo de' Medici, LHP
de' Medici is a virtual lock for midseason honors as he's about to break all the strikeout records this year. He already has 153 K's in 83.1 innings with a 0.84 WHIP and 2.7 WAR.

Kidane Ata, CF
He started the season slow but his explosion over the past two three months should make him a strong contender for an All-Star nod.

Elliot "Snow God" Buckland, RHP
Buckland has a 7-5 record and a 2.82 ERA, the latter of which places him among the Frick League's elite. He'll be coming off a short IL stint this sim and will hopefully pick up where he left off.

Alberto Rodriguez, C
A cold April has his numbers down a bit from usual, but when the calendar turned to June he's back to his usual form and could sneak into his second straight Mid-Summer Classic as a reserve.
