The Goat Rope 2036.5

Goats of the Month - May
The Nashville Goats finished the month of May with a record of 14-13. The .519 winning percentage managed to keep the Goats within sight of the Division leaders and a manageable distance away from a Wild Card spot, a place the Goats havent seen much of in quite a while. With that in mind, here are your Goats of the month for May:

Offense:
The offensive POM for May goes to the Goats' 1B/DH, Miguel 'Bad Moon' Suárez. The 21 year old Suárez posted a .341/.361/.703 slash line, with 10 doubles, 1 triples, and 7 HRs, scoring 12 runs and knocking in 20 RBI. Suárez's 1.2 WAR for the month also was enough to earn the Johnson League Rookie of the Month award for May.

Pitcher:
The pitcher of the month for May goes to Francisco Luna. The 21yo Rookie also won this award in April. For May, Luna finished with a 2-1 record after starting 4 games. His 23 Ks to 8 Walks and 19 hits (6 HR) given up through 28.1 innings led to his 2.54 ERA and 0.95 WHIP outpacing the rest of his team and led him to be the Goats Pitcher of the Month for May.

Minors:
The May Player of the Month for the Goats Minor League system is Jack Bullock (AAA). The 25 year oldRight Fielder was sent down to AAA in early May to get some more playing time. He did not disappoint in showing why he should be back up in Nashville before too much longer. Besides winning Granville League Player of the Week, Bullock showed why he was easily the Goats' Minor League Player of the Month for May by finishing with a slash line of .414/.478/.724 in 58 at bats. Bullock mashed opponents pitching with 3 doubles and 5 HRs while scoring 11 and driving in 20 RBI.

I usually like to try and avoid platooning guys but I had to make an exception for Suarez.
