Goats of the Month - September
The Nashville Goats finished the month of September with a record of 8-17. September was the 2nd best month by winning percentage for the Goats in the 2035 season. Can we attribute this to the call-up of some of the Kids to the big league club? Can they bring this positive note with them to start off the 2036 season? We'll see. In the meantime, the Goats of the month for September are:
Offense:
The offensive POM for September goes to the Goats' Outfielder Ken 'Bump' Jenkins. The 30 year old Jenkins posted a .343/.381/.515 slash line, with 6 doubles, 4 triples, 1 HR and 6 stolen bases, scoring 14 runs and knocking in 8 RBI.
Pitcher:
The pitcher of the month for September goes to Alfredo Perales. The 20 year old Perales was a mid-September call-up as an injury replacement. In September, Perales found himself making three starts in Nashville where he won two of them. His 10 Ks to 8 Walks and 22 hits given up through 22.1 innings led to his 3.22 ERA and 1.34 WHIP outpaced the rest of his team and led him to be the Goats Pitcher of the Month for September. With a little bit of development still to go, we expect Perales to be a big part of the Goats rotation at some point next season.
Minors:
The September Player of the Month for the Goats Minor League system is - Are you sitting down? - Jim Tremblett (AAA). In five September games for the Montgomery Admirals, the 26 year old third baseman posted a .318/.375/.545 slash line, with 2 doubles, scoring 4 runs and knocking in 2 RBI. For his efforts, Tremblett wins the Goats' Award for Minor League Player of the Month for September.

Re: The Goat Rope 235.7
It's good to see that at least Jenkins is performing.
Perales is an interesting guy, too. Very useful if you can limit his exposure to LHB.
I'm excited to see how the Plan unfolds going into next year.

Re: The Goat Rope 235.7
Perales actually did a lot better against lefties at AAA than righties, with a decent sample size. I'm sure that wont hold true in the BBA but looking forward to giving him a shot.
Should see a lot of new names on the 2036 Goats roster compared to this season, that's for sure.
