Goats of the Month - July
The Nashville Goats finished the month of July with a dismal record of 3-23. Surely there must be at least a little bright spot in there. Well, let's dee what we can find. Here are your Goats of the month for July:

Offense:
The offensive POM for July goes to the Goats' Left Fielder, Ken 'Bump' Jenkins. The 20 year old Jenkins posted a .288/.345/.423 slash line, with 5 doubles, 3 triples, and 1 HR, scoring 10 runs and knocking in 7 RBI. Jenkins also found himself with 3 SBs in July.

Pitcher:
The pitcher of the month for July goes to Atsumori Maeda. Although the 37 year old finished July with a 0-3 record after starting 5 games. His 12 Ks to 9 Walks and 44 hits (3 HR) given up through 37.2 innings led to his 3.11 ERA and 1.41 WHIP outpaced the rest of his team and led him to be the Goats Pitcher of the Month for July.

Minors:
The July Player of the Month for the Goats Minor League system is Luís Tavernard (S A). The 21 year old first baseman out of Brazil posted a .326/.394/.698 slash line, with 10 doubles, 2 triples, and 6 HRs, scoring 16 runs and knocking in 17 RBI. For his efforts, Tavernard wins the Goats' Award for Minor League Player of the Month for July. Tavernard is also the recipient of Sunshine League Batter of the Month.
