The Goat Rope 2035.3

Goats of the Month - May
The Nashville Goats finished the month of May with a record of 7-19, on pace for a win total slightly lower than last season's 56 wins. That doesn't mean there can't be a few bright spots however. Here are your Goats of the month for May:

Offense:
The offensive POM for May goes to Elijah "Riot" Curry. The 25 year old outfielder posted a .283/.295/.663 slash line, with 6 doubles, 1 triple, and 9 HRs, scoring 19 runs and knocking in 18 RBI, while also stealing 5 bases.

Pitcher:
The pitcher of the month for May goes to Miroslav Tomanek. The 24 year old brought over in 2034 as part of the infamous Stephen Clulow trade, finished May with a 1-0 record, with 1 Hold, after appearing in 7 games. His 12 Ks to 6 Walks and only 7 hits given up through 13 innings led to his 1.38 ERA and 1.00 WHIP outpaced the rest of his team and led him to be the Goats Pitcher of the Month for May.

Minors:
The May Player of the Month for the Goats Minor League system is Justin 'The Scout' Jackson (AAA). The 21 year old Left Fielder posted a slash line of .319/.385/.716. Jackson had 37 hits in 116 at bats with 12 doubles, 2 triples, and 10 HRs. While Jackson scored 22 runs in May, he also drove in 32 RBIs. GM Golden has decided those are the type of offensive numbers the Goats could use and has decided to promote Jackson to the major league team.

Jackson is more than ready. I am not 100% but I think you also have waited long enough to avoid Super 2 status as well.

He crushed it in Oct. Had a slow start this season but has come on really strong. If it would have made a difference I wouldn’t have cared about Super 2 but hopefully he’s clear now.
