Goats of the Month - April
The Nashville Goats finished the month of April with a record of 10-17, on pace for a win total slightly higher than last season's 56 wins. Here are your Goats of the month for April:
Offense:
The offensive POM for April goes to Ismael López. The 27 year old second-baseman posted a .297/.354/.419 slash line, with 6 doubles and 1 HR, while scoring 10 runs and knocking in 6 RBI, while also stealing 12 bases.
Pitcher:
The pitcher of the month for April goes to Randall Thomas. The 32 year old, off-season Free Agent signee finished April with a 2-1 record after starting 4 games. His 19 Ks to 7 Walks and only 21 hits given up through 24 innings led to his 3.00 ERA and 1.17 WHIP outpaced the rest of his team and led him to be the Goats Pitcher of the Month for April.
Minors:
The April Player of the Month for the Goats Minor League system is Ángel García (AAA). The 21 year old SS posted a slash line of .306/.415/.469. To get to those numbers, Garcia had 30 hits in 98 at bats with 5 doubles, 1 triple, and 3 HRs. While Garcia's 8 RBIs matched his 8 SBs (a 100% rate) for the month, both were overshadowed by his 23 runs scored.

Yes he is. He was really good in my bullpen last year and I'd love to have him as a SP right now.

Re: The Goat Rope 2035.2
I chose to keep Glenn Avery over Thomas mostly due to financial reasons. Avery is still useful, but I probably chose unwisely.

I thought I had better than what I do and figured letting him go was worth the Type B comp I got. Clearly not given the draft and how the team has performed.
