Shenani-Goats 2034.06

Post by GoldenOne » Wed Apr 18, 2018 10:57 pm

In a manner of just a few days, the Nashville Goats have traded away 22yo SP Stephen Clulow (7-9, 3.75 ERA) and 22yo SP Juan Nicto (5-12, 4.64 ERA). The moves created quite a stir around the league.

When asked what he was thinking trading such decent young SPs, GM Brett Golden commented, "I've got a plan. While Juan and Stevie are going to be good players for a long time, they just didnt fit in with the plan for one reason or another."

In return, the Goats gathered a drove of random players. Asked about the wide-range of player types, "There is a plan; they fit the plan," stated GM Golden. Those players, all oddly enough, from Omaha, include BBA 3B/1B Jim Tremblett, AAA SP Ulbert Vleugel, AAA SP Miroslav Tomanek, and A-level SP Aleixo Urgeses.

Asked to further comment on The Plan, Golden huffed, "Do your own homework; I've got other things to take care of than to explain to reporters why I am smarter than them."

Recent Waiver Wire claim, Juan Jose Mayorga, at 31yo one of only five players over 30 years old, was noted as saying, "Yeah, Clulow and Nicto probably have a good future ahead of them. The guys coming to the team are pretty good as well. Give our GM some slack - you really cant truly judge a trade for a couple of years." Mayorga further commented, "This is the Johnson Atlantic. This isn't the Frick. One or two guys isn't going to cut it here, you need depth. GM Golden is building that depth."

What else does this crazy new GM have up his sleeve? Who knows but the league will have fun figuring him out.

Golden to fans, pointing to multi-colored powerpoint: "I have a plan"

Fan, scratching head and pointing to "the miracle happens here" box: "What does that mean?"

Golden: "Don't worry. I learned it from Genius"

Fan: "We're screwed."

Golden, hitting himself over the head with a shoe: "I know, dude. That's the plan!"
