PLAYERS OF THE SIM - SIM #8
Yet another 3-3 Sim for the Goats. This team seems determined to compete for mediocrity. Nashville did finally get back to Les Paul for the final three games of the Sim but proceeded to drop 2 of 3 to Montreal. Offense was not pretty scoring 3.7 per game which ranked 24th. Pitching was pretty good, however, allowing an 8th-best 4.3.

Every time it seems that Stephen Clulow (8/7/7 Ratings, 5 - 3, 4.33 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 48 K) has made his case to be the ace of this staff, Martinez steps up to make a counter-point. He did so with a gem in Sim #8 tossing 8.1 innings of 5-hit, 1-run ball in Jacksonville on the 21st, walking 2 and fanning 7.

The defensive wiz provided some boost for a mostly toothless Goats attack hitting .348/.348/.522 with 4 doubles, 5 RBI, and 12 TB. Also, a shout out to 3B Pedro Gomez (7/5/1/4/9 Ratings, .254/.295/.293, 0 HR, 9 RBI) who swiped 6 more bases in Sim #8 keeping him on pace for over 100 on the season - and also putting him at a 72.3% success rate with his 34 steals coming in 47 attempts.
