The Hawk Eye 2032.3: Po(t)S Sim #19
The Hawk Eye
12 August 2032
Halifax, Nova Scotia
**********************************
PLAYERS OF THE SIM - SIM #18
And just like that Mr. Kontos introduces himself to the new management team! Although the Hawks were still an unimpressive 2-4 taking 2 of a 4-game set vs. Carolina but dropping the last game of the New Orleans series and the first two of a set in Indy. The offense was middling again ranking 15th with 4.9 runs per game, but pitching was dead last surrendering a whopping 8.4. That included giving up 17 to the Kraken on the 9th and 12 to Indy a day later.
Pitcher
26yo P Simon Ybarra (5/7/8 Ratings, 1 - 1, 5.57 ERA, 1.67 WHIP, 17 K)
If we must pick one... Ybarra was decent in 3 relief appearances tossing 9 innings allowing 3 runs, walking none, while fanning 5. That gave him a 3.00 ERA and 1.00 WHIP for the week.
Batter
27yo 1B Stelio Kontos (7/6/8/5/6 Ratings, .275/.328/.503, 22 HR, 69 RBI)
Kontos (try not humming the tune...you just can't help it) absolutely went off this week slashing .458/.519/1.250 for a 1.769 (!) OPS. He posted 2 doubles, 1 triple, and 5 HR in the Hawk's 7 games racking up 12 RBI, 30 TB, and scoring 6 times.

Hey, Brett's still around. If he's a fraction of what he was he's the champ.RonCo wrote:This new Halifax guy is going to out-do me.

Just take a look at what Ron did last year. In my eyes he actually broke the PP system...cheekimonk wrote:Hey, Brett's still around. If he's a fraction of what he was he's the champ.RonCo wrote:This new Halifax guy is going to out-do me.

I'm cheating on The Walkoff Watch so I'm not saying a word. (I actually started to count players from the first of the season but...no...)bschr682 wrote:Just take a look at what Ron did last year. Broke may be a little strong...but I doubt you'll see anyone, including me, get more points for quite awhile.bschr682 wrote:Just take a look at what Ron did last year. In my eyes he actually broke the PP system...
