Everybody is still in Halifax

Post by jcrmoon42 » Tue Jan 24, 2017 8:53 am

After talking about trading everybody, Jason Russell still hasn't traded a soul. "Several discussions are ongoing, but nothing has really tickled my fancy just yet." The only regular position player who is likely to become a free agent next year is the enigmatic Pancho Torres, a former first rounder who has been extremely up and down since being acquired by trade in 2022. Also likely to be let go is pitcher Daniel Jordan, a 27-year old righty. New management is honestly not sure how this guy has started so many games since his control started to deteriorate. It is really too bad as Jordan looked like he was going to be a good one after a solid 2025 campaign, the best year of his career.

It looks likely that the Hawks will wait until the off season to give themselves time to work some deals that really help the team in the long run. In the meantime, there is still a lot of losing going on in Halifax.
