Slugger Shavings 2063.5 - It's Mr. Jackson if you're nasty

Slugger's left-fielder Jose Jackson was on a mission in 2063. The first overall pick in the 2061 draft had a solid rookie season in 2062, but he felt he could do more.

"I honestly wasn't satisfied hitting just .288 and 25 homers last year. I wanted to win Newcomer-of-the-Year. Hell, I wanted to be MVP of the league! This season I was determined to avoid a sophomore slump and show more of what I can do," noted Jackson.

Jackson certainly did that in an all-star worthy 2063 campaign. He clearly established himself as the star of the team, combining superb defense with an exceptionally patient yet powerful bat.

"Some people have noted that I hit only 27 doubles compared to 40 last season. But I hit a few more homers with 29 and had a whole lot more RBI with 118. And I am most proud of my plate discipline. I almost had more walks than strikeouts," further noted Jackson.

Jackson's .326/29/118 in 2063 was impressive as was his .410 OBP and 5.8 WAR. It looks like the team has a really special player in Jackson and he can't wait to report for duty in the Spring.
