The 17-year-old #83 prospect in the BBA drafted in the first round in 2052 had barely gotten to know his teammates in the Spike Nolan League, the Angela Drake League, and the Charlie Pegler League (where he batted .402). He had already earned a promotion to AAA to start the 2053 season, and now here he was, facing a chance to play against major leaguers even if just a spring sniff.
When asked if he was rushing his first ever draft pick, GM BP was clear in his reply: "Amphibian is a good kid with fantastic potential. We are proud of our farm system and the work they do with our prospects. Amphibian was ready to make the jump to AAA Missouri, and he will thrive there with the help of manager Alberto Morin. When he is ready to make our roster, he will be fully cooked, like a fine dish of cuisses de grenouille."
