A press conference was hastily arranged today. So hasty that only one reporter showed up. Or maybe nobody cared. Either way, it is clear that GM BP has found his scapegoat for a disappointing 2052 season. As was rumored, manager Andy Curry was fired earlier today, paving the way for the team to hire relatively unknown first year manager Chris Hooper.
The lone reporter asked GM BP, "Seriously? This guy last managed in 2050 in Baghdad. And his years there were awful. He had some decent success managing Seoul in the IFC, but you really think he has what it takes to manage in the BBA?"
GM BP was confident in his response. "Curry was tuned out. He lost his spice. He was a liability. Most players didn't like him. He had a fine squad, but they underachieved. It was time for a change. Everyone likes Hoop, or at least has average feelings towards him. I think he will do just fine. He was totally on board with my vision for the team next year. It involves striking first and showing no mercy."
The lone reporter just got up and left.
