Louisville managed to carry a strong end of the regular season over into the 1st round against Hawaii. The Sluggers advanced in three quick games, with all-world Luis Mendoza taking home the series MVP award.
"We were 20-8 in September and almost ran down the hated Yellow Spray Nine," said Mendoza. "We aren't looking past the Mad Popes, though. This will be the toughest series of the season."
The winner of the best-of-seven SAC/LOU series will face the winner of the OMA/YS9 series, which will be YS9.
