Well, that was not fun.
A four-game sweep at the hands of the Black Sox left a sour taste in our mouths to end the 1995 season.
Game 1: It was so bad, even Chicago starting pitcher Jeff Kiplinger hit a homer. I will leave it at that. 11-2 Sox.
Game 2: Leading 2-0 after 7 1/2 innings, Rich DeLucia fucking imploded, giving up seven runs, all earned. 7-2 Sox.
Taking it home, things weren't much better.
Game 3: Stanley pitched well, but we couldn't get anything going offensively in a 3-2 loss.
Game 4: Down 3-0 in the series, we threw Nastay out there to try and avenge his Game 1 loss....but once again, the offense just never got going. We couldn't do diddly poo offensively as a 5-1 loss mercifully ended our season.
Seven runs in four games is not going to win you a playoff series, especially when you're not getting pitching. Wings Hauser never got into the game, but it's doubtful he would have even helped.
We're at a crossroads for 1996. Already projected over the cap, we're getting big arby raises for guys like Van Winkle and Sobah. Do we bite the bullet and cut a contract we don't want? Something has to be done, and blowing up this team is not the answer.

Well, that blows, dude. To fight hard just to make the playoffs, only to lay down in the first round.
On the bright side, according to your info above, you actually scored 8 runs in 4 games. Joy!
